Taveras had a game just like this against the Nats a few years ago. That was the last home game that I went to.

It will just take a little longer for Taveras to prove he is a waste of a roster spot.

Today however evil Willy has earned a criticism free day.

I wouldn't get all giddy about Taveras just yet. I'm pretty sure this is already a career game for him.

Lighten up Francis ;)

Would be a good time for Lannan to pick up his first strike out, OF THE YEAR.

he's not a strikeout pitcher.  as dibbs said before the game, stick to your game plan and don't try and be a jack morris.

actually that worked out well to our advantage.

lannan 73 pitches after four innings ... he starts the fifth with david wright and nobody on base.

let's get a few more runs here gents.  get on base nyjer.

he's not a great fantasy option, but usually has decent ERA numbers and his whip isn't the worst in the league or anything.

My neighbors looked at me funny when I yelled after Pudge's DP  I only heard about 1/3 of the game during pauses in lawnmowing, but I'm pretty sure he wasn't the worst FA signing in the NL
