The price of tea in China  correlates with the price of hot dogs at Nathans in New York, which correlates with Nathan's Hot Dogs being used at Hard Times Cafe on their Chili Dogs, which correlates to the Hard Times Cafe being at  Nats Park, where you might or might not be attending a game this season - hypothetically speaking, of course.....................
But hypothetically speaking, I am hoping your last name is not Mock, so hypothetically speaking you would never post a message that makes you seem like an "airhead" - hypothetically speaking, of course.... :tomatoes:
                                                                                                         :stir:

:lmao: What is this babble?

I'm just happy that FOX has relaxed their blackout restrictions. This means I can actually see Nats games at 1pm on Saturdays with Extra Innings  :icon_mrgreen:

Holy Crap.  I haven't heard that.  That's treee-mendous.

Or more time for visiting fans to get home afterwards :?

i was about to type something like that and add that stan would advertise with "hey, you wont even need a hotel room!" but sometimes i do due dilligence before posting an anti lerner/stank post. none of those games are against driving distance teams

Lack of honesty or integrity has never stopped Stan Kasten from acting so I hardly see why you should restrain yourself when ridiculing him. He'd probably pitch the 'no hotel angle' in conjunction with commuter flights if he thought it would made him a couple bucks.

Right? It's about time! Fanhouse Link: http://mlb.fanhouse.com/2010/04/06/mlb-tweaks-blackout-rules-on-premium-cable-package/

The new blackout windows will vary depending on the time of the Fox broadcast. Below are the three scenarios that will exist:

1) On a Saturday when the first MLB game to be telecast by Fox starts at 4:10pm ET games that start at 1:10pm ET or earlier and 7:05pm ET or later will be included in the package. No games that begin between 1:10pm ET and 7:05pm ET will be included. This will be the case on 21 Saturdays this season.

2) On a Saturday when the first MLB game to be telecast by Fox starts at 3:10pm ET games that start at 12:10pm ET or earlier and 6:05pm ET or later will be included in the package. No games that begin between 12:10pm ET and 6:05pm ET will be included. This will be the case on 3 Saturdays this season (April 10, May 1 and May 8 ).

3) On a Saturday when the first MLB game to be telecast by Fox starts at 7:10pm ET games that start at 4:10pm ET or earlier and 10:05pm ET or later will be included in the package. No games that begin between 4:10pm ET and 10:05pm ET will be included. This will be the case on 2 Saturdays this season (May 22 and June 26).

Tomorrow's FOX game is at 3, so no Extra Innings for the Nats game at 1. The rest of the Saturday games this month should be shown though :)

Wait, so is there a local blackout? When the Nats played the Rays last season, the first hour was blacked out locally because it started at 6. So they are cutting the number of tv games, or what?

I avoid the day games because our regular seats are in the sun, and I'm about an SPF 1000. One time we were dumb enough to buy seats on the lowest level of the front porch, and it was hot as hades in the early afternoon.

I have a Sunday plan there this year. I didn't even think about the sun until opening day. The only think I recall considering was the view. :|

If you have seats in the section containing The Best Seat In The House (312) or lower in the Gallery level you'd be in good shape - normally the sun goes behind the Capitol street wall from 14.00 onward.

I remember one series against the Giants though - the poor chaps in the seats from 313 up (especially along the first base line) just got roasted.

We gave up our seats that were on the 1st base side for 308.  Its a good location and not too much sun.

Yep, my seats are on the porch, and I love them, but Afternoon games can be 'difficult'.

Then why not do that on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays too?

Detroit Tigers: Mon, Tue and Wed games this week ALL start at 1:05 PM.

My guess is that it has to do with the cold.

I have been an advocate of holding Saturday games in Washington in the afternoon.  This team will have a difficult time developing an avid fan base among kids if they cannot see the matches because they'd get home too late, AND the cold.  I remember my cousin having to carry his sleeping kid into the house in 2005 because of a night game that had a rain delay.

5:00 p.m. would be a great time to start some Saturday games. Late enough so that the kiddies aren't baking in the sun, but early enough to get them home before they become tired, spastic, recalcitrant little tyrants.

I think the new blackout stuff is only for us out-of-market folks?

You know what was funny, the game was blacked out for me on my directv with Extra Innings, but not on MASN on the sports tier.  So, I was still able to get the game.  Missed the first 5 innings because I didn't know it was available, but I got to see the end and Harris save the game.

I really like these Saturday afternoon games now... the NQ just got invited to MASN's 2nd Blogger's Day this coming Saturday against the Brewers.

Ooo, I think I get to meet Debbie Taylor!

I'm going to be there Saturday.  :)  Oh, but you wouldn't have time to meet up with ordinary fans, would you.    :(
