i know ... it's a good move.  some of our youngsters should move to the pen.

They have to learn that major league service time > pride. Batista, Capps, Bruney - those guys could easily be dropped for Martin, Balester, Thompson. I like the idea of a sixth starter in the pen in case one of the pitchers has a terrible day.

right over the plate for a strike, but the ump got confused and called it a ball.

I wouldn't throw Capps or Bruney in with Batista. Both have actually been solid, in recent years.

watching this Cardinals/Reds game makes me really wish we had Steak 'n Shake around here.
