Lastings Milledge nearly made a STUPID mistake, only Russell Martin is stupider. He's on second with 2 outs, line drive single to LF that was nearly caught, Lastings thinks the inning is over so he jogs to home, left fielder throws home, and Milledge is in the middle with Martin having the ball, so he runs back... and Martin doesn't throw. WTF? Worst of all, 3rd base coach was giving him the stop sign repeatedly and he ignored it.

Scully is taking him to task over the situation. He's like "who doesn't run on a ball in play with two outs?".

They then cut to a image of Milledge just standing around in the OF looking lost as usual.

Priceless. I can't believe anyone here ever thought much of this kid.

For those playing the "where in the world is Elijah Dukes game, Mr. Cafardo in Boston has a (non) sighting:

Quote
Evidently, Elijah Dukes  will take the year off from baseball. The troubled former Nationals outfielder backed out of a deal with the Tabasco Olmecas of the Mexican League in early April after not showing up for a reporting date, according to a source with knowledge of the deal. It’ll be interesting to see whether Dukes ever plays baseball again .

Oh I was hoping there was a link to the video already up on MLB, sometimes they will put the highlights for each game in gameday.

yeah.  i'm extremely happy with Adam Dunn as our 1B, but I'll always continue to follow Nick Johnson's career and I'm grateful for the contributions he made to our Nats.

Over the course of the season, that will prove to be a good decision.

LOL, I was wondering if anyone was going to say anything about that.  MAN, what a complete DIPcrap.

Baseball players more idiotic than Milledge are few and far between.  My sister has a higher baseball IQ.

Lastings "web gem" among a sheep race clip, deer charging into a bar and a pole vaulter getting his nuts impaled... classic.

15-day DL means he'll be out for, what, two months?
