Votto apparently is annoyed he wasn't put on the AS team - 2 HRs today.

I was watching the Mariners-Royals game last night and I thought, gosh there are a lot of ex-Nationals in this game!

...and I just thought that most, if not all, of the ex-Nationals still in the major leagues are on bad teams.  :|

Rauch, Flop, Nick Johnson come to mind as the exceptions.

He's getting paid by the Yanks, that's good enough in my book.

...though Bobby Bonilla will be paid by the Mets starting next year, so...

A Rangers fan fell from the 2nd deck in TX today.  That's insane.

And no one's mentioned Colorado's 9 run 9th to come back from down 9-3 to win 12-9 over the Cardinals?

All updates on him seem to be positive, luckily. Scary.

On a lighter note, the homerun derby will feature David Ortiz of the Red Sox, Robinson Cano of the Yankees, Vernon Wells of the Blue Jays, and Miguel Cabrera of the Tigers. National League reps thus far are Corey Hart of the Brewers and Matt Holliday of the Cardinals. More to be added.

Landing on the fans probably saved him from a much worse fate.

How the hell do you fall from the upper deck when the railing is 46.5" high unless you were freaking around or drunk or both?

They said the foul ball went past him, but then bounced back towards him and he reached behind his head to grab it and just flipped over the railing.

Jake Peavy could be done for the year.  Wow that sucks.  He had been pitching so well recently.

This is possibly the first time "light" has been used in connection with those two since they discovered ordering out.

What the hell?  On MLB Network, Carlos Gonzalez was at bat for the Rockies and they were talking about who was going to be the Last Player in for the NL.  The talking head mentioned Gonzalez and Votto and Wagner...that's all.  >:(

St. Louis has given up another lead to the Rockies.  It was 7-4 in the 7th.  It's not 7-7 in the 8th, with one out, runners on first and third.  Seth Smith is at-bat again.

Rockies win 8-7, leadoff homer in the 9th.   It sucks to be the Cardinals.
