This.  And I understood you from the beginning.

Right, me too.  We lost 33 years of baseball, and still have a WS more recently than have the Cubs.

And if you consider Baltimore and Washington one big happy market, we can claim the 83 Os, too!

Why not, I consider Boston and the NYY two peas in a pod.   :mg:

Losing 33 years of baseball is more shameful than playing losing baseball. Would you trade the last 5 years?

Speaking of Boston, did you notice the outfield they started yesterday?  Daniel Nava, Darnell McDonald, and Bill Hall?  Then Pedroia broke his foot, and Buchholz got hurt running the bases tonight.  Pedroia was at least the third set of broken bones this year.  Beltre took out both Ellsbury and Hermida.  That's not even counting Beckett injuring his blubber back and Matsuzaka's excursions to the DL.  Middle relief is Daniel Bard and a prayer.

In all seriousness, they could be a landing spot for Morgan, Walker, and Burnett. I'm a skeptic about Guz since they turned him down last year, he's 10/5, and they would not like his hacktastic approach.

Even if you count those 33 years, you've still got a WS more recently than the Cubs.

Indeed.  So we got that going for us.  Which is nice.

Robinson Cano only has one error.  How can a second baseman only have one error???  I don't even get the concept.

And he's only making $9 million this season.  That's only $1 million more than one of our 2nd basemen.  :|

Adam Dunn's range? (that's not it)

BTW - The Red Sox lost Dustin Pedroia for 4 - 6 weeks, Victor Martinez broke his thumb, and Clay Buchholz hurt his knee.  They traded for Eric Patterson, but still may be looking for more bodies.

They can have Wil Nieves for their top prospect.

Broxton apparently thought he was in the Nats' bullpen last night. Blew a 6-2 lead against the Yankees, who eventually won in extras thanks to a Cano homerun. He's a fun player to watch

Also, catfight between Longoria and BJ Upton in the Rays' dugout yesterday. Video here: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20100627&content_id=11667090&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb

They said all the right "water under the bridge" stuff afterwards. Just looks like a frustrated team.

LaRussa used Adam Wainwright as a pinch hitter tonight against AZ.  He grounded out.

He also has Jaime Garcia in as a pinch runner.

Cards win on a throwing error by LaRoche that allows 2 runs to score.

According to Rosenthal, Prior is working out for teams tomorrow.

What's the worst that can happen if the Nats send a scout out there to watch him?

My friend is a Tigers fan and texted about this earlier. Said it was horrifying. He threw a pitch and just kind of collapsed on the grass clutching his arm. Told his catcher he heard a pop, apparently. Yikes... I hope it's just a big scare, but it sounds awful.

Restraining orders work best.

If they were to trade him... what's the draw to come to the park each night that Strasburg isn't pitching?
