I was just coming in to post this.  They mentioned (and showed) it in today's game.

It was much less of a swing against the YANKEES than it was against the Natinals and he was called out against the YANKEES, not against the Natinals.   :?

That's exactly right. >:(

So, the Marlins have announced they're going to have "backstop aquariums."

I personally think it's pretty cool.

this is "let's try having the players wear shorts" bad.

Worse. There is a reason why you don't tap on the glass at aquariums.

Gavin Floyd gives up his no-hitter in the 7th.  Double to Soriano

Lilly's no-hitter is still on.

Too lazy to switch to the game from college baseball, but someone just told me that Herschiser just invoked the "unwritten rules" and criticized Beckham's bunt attempt (for a hit, obv).

Herschiser can go freak himself.

After 3* perfect games this season, a no-hitter seems pedestrian anymore

Worse. There is a reason why you don't tap on the glass at aquariums.

Primarily, it annoys the fish.  Secondarily, it puts smudges and/or scratches on the glass.  Acrylic, which is what most large aquariums are made of (because of lower refractory distortion and less weight than glass) is notoriously easy to scratch.

Speaking of the Mariners, they are simply dreadful, yet they're on national television.  Speaking of national television, the Nationals were required to get the GREATEST PITCHER EVER, just to have a chance to be shown there.

This game should have been bumped...for a rerun of the 1999 World Strongest Man competition.   :|

Cardinals.
Well, see, there you go.  They're not gonna dump the Cardinals.  Especially when there's not exactly a ton of other options tonight anyway.

Ty Wiggington just hit a homerun in that awful ballpark in San Francisco except it was called a double and no one on the Orioles challenged the call.  He got gypped out of a homer by apathy.  :-[

Also, when the wOes lose this game (they're down 6-1), they'll be ahead (or behind) our pace from last year.  They'll be 17-47.  We were 18-46 after 64 games, last year.

Kansas City is DESTROYING the Astros. Billy Butler just scored from second on two consecutive wild pitches to make it 11-6. This one inning after the Royals scored 7 runs in the 5th - all after hitting into the first two outs.
