Game over.  Ubaldo gets his complete game shutout.

There's no way Riggleman would let his pitcher, even if it was Jimenez, go that long.

Jim Tracy will not take Jimenez out of the game.  Two outs in the 9th, 4-0 Colorado.  He's given up a double and a walk.

He's the exact opposite of Riggleman.

Tracy is going to wear him out!

The Mets "sideline" reporter is doing a spot from exactly the same place as Debbi Taylor did the other day in San Diego.

Diamondbacks bullpen blows another one this time on a balk  :icon_exclaim:

And the Mets are losing big in SD, 10-4 in the 5th.

That is freaking hilarious.  My Mets fan friend and I were comparing our sideline reporters the other day and commenting on how utterly useless that whole "job" is.

In a day with lots of double digit scores, the Nat's 14 has been topped!  The Pads have put 15 (so far) on the Mets

Edit - Make that 16

...in the 6th inning

17 runs for the Padres in the 7th.  Most recent run is a solo shot by That's Headley against Oliver "I'm too good to go to AAA even though I stink" Perez.

How bad does it get?  For this self-respecting White Sox fan, after his team blows a 4-2 lead in the 6th (its currently 9-6 Texas in the top of the 9th), I turned off the game and started watching my 2005 World Series DVD set.  I want to see a White Sox team that can hold a lead.  God, its going to be a long season.

I also hear my Sox are likely to face Stasburg when they visit DC at the end of June.  Great!  More humiliation!

I, of course, feel your pain.  Some Sox fans are predicting 7 shutout innings by Strasburg on the 19th.  I also turned off the game, but after it became 8-6.  Frustrating, indeed.

Who would have predicted anything this season so far? Its pretty crazy.

-2 perfect games
-3 new teams at the top of their divisions (Padres, Reds, A's)
-Nats are still in the east

Its pretty interesting.

Umpire Jim Joyce blows call at 1st base with 8.2 IP in Gallarga's perfect game.  Replay showed that runner was clearly out.

Remember when the umps were gonna strike and they were gonna use the minor league umps? How do we make that happen.

Congratulate Masterson for me.  He devastates righties.  Is the season so lost that they'll keep running him out there, or will a Carrasco or somebody get a call up to push him into the set up role he should be in?

Hagadone sounds like the real deal. Are people thinking Price can help?

Why won't Fox show the Brewers-Cardinals game?  It's a tie game, 4-4, and they won't go off the air until 7, so they're just filling time now, instead of showing the last Fox game.   >:(

Dontrelle Willis went 6 scoreless innings in his debut with the D-backs.  5 hits and 4 walks, though.

The Oakland A's issued an intentional walk with the bases empty in a tied game, and the runner scored for the win. Joe Posnanski's response: "the baseball gods do not always punish the wicked but they will not just allow people to spit in their faces." Adrian Gonzalez just hit a homer, in the 7th, against Cole Hamels, breaking up a no-hiter.

Back-2-Back homers for the Pads.  Hamels' no-hitter is REALLY broken up.
