Is anyone going to the game with the Red Sox next Saturday, 4/3 ?

I'll be there for the first few innings but will have to leave early to get to DC United's home opener at 19.30. (It takes longer to get to RFK from Nats Park than one realises, especially when Metrorail is on off-peak schedule.)

In fact this makes three consecutive seasons that the Nats' home exhibition match and United's home opener have fallen on the same day.

I can't do both so I'm leaning towards the United opener with the Wale pregame concert.

I was planning on it if the team allowed me to trade in my cancelled 3/12 Nats vs. Yanks ST tickets for it because those tickets can be traded for "any 2010/2011 Spring Training game" it says on the website.

Of course the team screwed me and said the tickets can only be traded in for games in Florida which is bullcrap. Oh well. Just a free game for me in Viera next year.

I'll be there, but probably rooting for the wrong team. Sorry, it is in the blood.

Looks like it'll be Dice-K for the Sox. Kind of a last chance against major leaguers while he conditions himself for a delayed start to the season.

Love to see Stras get a chance to throw. I would root for Stras to do well, but would do it secretly so no one who new me would know that I did it. Great thing no one reads this internet thing so I can keep this a secret.

Is this game close to sold out or something? I'm having trouble finding a decent seat on the Nats site.

I don't think is was limited to STH this year. Wouldn't make sense to invite the Red Sox to town and then not allow their fans to buy tickets and pack the park.

So far, looking promising on the weather front for Saturday: Yahoo! Weather's extended forecast currently calls for sunny with high of 78 and low of 55, no precip expected.

Good point, I should have said that it would have been less profitable to have the Red Sox in town and not sell as many tickets as possible. Cash rules everything around old man Lerner.
