This team needs to be broken up, pronto.
            This......

They are a dysfunctional team and the dynamics are not there. Arenas, Butler, Jamison, Heywood, and Stevenson do not play well together nor do they mesh. Time to evaluate what players mesh together and have the dynamics of team play. I would absolutely say Mike Miller, Boykin, Butler, and Jamison play well together as a team. I would start with that core and evaluate how the rest of the players interact with that core....imo

ESPN.com reported Saturday that the Washington Wizards had reached out to the Rockets in an exploratory manner about a possible Gilbert Arenas-for-McGrady swap, but Houston has no interest in such a deal. Arenas ranks as one of the league's most difficult players to move with four seasons left after this one on a mammoth $111 million contract and a history of knee problems to rival McGrady's.

damn. that would have been a great deal for the wiz.

Guess they're still the Bullets at heart.
NBA all-star Gilbert Arenas and his Washing ton Wizards teammate Javaris Crittenton drew guns on each other in the team's locker room during a Christmas Eve dispute over a gambling debt, The Post has learned.
League sources say the pistol-packing point guards had heat ers at the ready inside the Verizon Center, the Washington, DC, home of the Wizards -- whose name was changed from the Bullets over gun- vi olence concerns.
It was the three- time all-star Arenas, 27, who went for his gun first, sources said, draw ing on the 22-year-old Crit tenton, who quickly brandished a firearm as well.

It's not Ernie's fault, Abe wouldn't let him break up the Butler/Jamison/Arenas contingent, now that Abe has passed, all three are on the trade block, big changes will be made. Leonsis is a blow it up/build from within kind of guy, so that will happen soon enough. Besides, on the surface, trading for Miller (hurt) and Foyer (not 100% since rolling his ankle) was a good move at the time. The team has talent, just no hearts and smarts right now.

i hope you are right, folks are going to start longing for wes unseld before long....

So Arenas wants to be the shooting guard?

not funny. I just lost the last ounce of respect I had for Gilbert Arenas. He's a thug ass loser just like most of the players in the NBA.

Is there any clause in his contract that says that if he turns into a piece of crap convict we can void the rest of his contract?

Or how about for the years he missed because of injury or the fact that he can't even ball anymore?

So all that BS about wanting to get the gun out of his house to protect his kids now dissolves as just a big lie.  He had a motive for taking the gun to Verizon.

michael vick is a decent comparison, except he still got like half of his guaranteed $. most contracts in the nba are guaranteed.

Um, pretty sure Arenas is contending the whole "guns were drawn" story is the BS part.  WOULD LOVE TO BE  FLY ON THE WALL on this one!

CSN reporting that Arenas gun-brandishing incident did not happen.

someday people are going to learn to not take the absolute first report of something like this as indisputable fact.

what does CSN know?

It's hard to say at this point what happened but the fact that he is playing with guns and that something like this even was rumored speaks volumes.

Arenas is a loser and a terrible basketball player.

what does the new york post know?

you will believe any bad thing said about any player you dont like regardless of the source.

if csn was reporting that he did it, you would be treating csn like experts.

so you think the new york post just made up this crap out of nowhere? a complete lie?

I used to think highly of Arenas as a basketball player and more importantly as a person. He was one of my favorite players of any sport.

But several knee injuries, a $111 Million dollar contract, horrible play on the court, a terrible attitude, and multiple gun issues have turned me away.

He has the mentality of a 10 year old kid. Just read his tweets since last night to see that.

Abe Pollin is turning over in his grave for giving this stupid nag $111,000,000 and him ruining the franchise.

yes. i do believe that the NY Post would do such a thing. if the NY Post said that Zimm beat the crap out of a fan in his home, would you believe?

and what do his knee injuries and his contract have to do with whether or not he pulled a gun on a teammate?

does shelden williams know what happened?
or are you just desperate to make Arenas look like the antichrist just so you can say you are right?

i dont know if arenas did it, and neither do you.

all i am saying is wait until the whole story comes out before you start writing essays condemning him to the electric chair.

what i want to know is, why was the NEW YORK POST the first people to report?
