Washington Wizards Thread (2009-2010)

Quote
Nick Young had a great camp, and now he's getting rewarded for it with another chance to prove that he's worthy of landing the starting shooting guard spot. When the Wizards conclude camp tonight with their preseason opener against the Memphis Grizzlies, Young will trot out with Gilbert Arenas, Caron Butler, Antawn Jamison and Brendan Haywood.

it would be awesome if NY won the SG job

Time for another good DC team to start the season

EDIT: Holy crap their tickets are overpriced. If I don't get in on the $20 ticket sale by tomorrow, probably not going to a single game. WTF?!?

Got mid court, upper deck tickets two games in march for $30 each after fees. Not bad. Good sale.

Wizards' defense has looked crappy in the first few pre-season games.

Dallas is dominating them. That is who our first real game is against.

James is definitely in better shape this season. You can tell he lost a lot of weight.

The Mavs are going to be a contender this season.  Dirk finally has some help.

The story of DC sports.
sad but true.

this is pathetic. Wizards nearly give up 100 points in 3 quarters. shameful.

looks like the wizards team of the past. win 40 games or so and get a 6-7 seed and lose in the first round.

You've got to love all the long hair in this game.  Mike Miller looks like Brett Michael.  Dirk plays better with the long locks.  Oberto is just a scrub.

The odd thing is, their season tickets are incredibly low-priced - just $16/fixture in my section (418) on a STH basis, a saving of something like two-thirds over the gate price.

Gilbert and team fined $25K apiece for Gil not speaking to the media.

I wish he would quit the act and go back to his old ways.

Argh - well I know now that if I go to any more games, I'll use stubhub or buy unwanted tickets from OldChelsea

JaVale McGee has played his ass off in the pre-season. He better get playing time during the reg. season.

I think he's going to be great. Just needs to put on a little more weight so he can handle the bigger centers in the league.

I'm shocked that they paid for the Wizards' radio crew (DJ and Consor) to go to Detroit for a preseason game. I can't imagine that many are listening to it.

thank god their games are on a real station finally (106.7 fm).

This game is wrapped up. Looks like Mike Miller is securing the starting SG job.

i can't believe how good he was in his first season, makes one optimistic for his future.  i really think the zards are going to be really, really good this year.  i can't friggin wait.

SF do you go to games?
