Nats' starters: 26 IP 19 ER (6.58 ERA)
Nats' relievers: 28 IP 8 ER (2.57 ERA)

Our relievers have pitched more innings than our starters.

Offensively, we are averaging 7.17 runs a game.

it's starting to feel a little like 2007 where we got off to a terrible start and then played real solid ball for the 2nd half of the season.

we need one of our starters to show some balls and go 7-8 IP. our BP could really use it.

of course not. he only throws one pitch

he threw 31 pitches tonight. all fastballs ranging from 94-98 mph.

you have to give MacDougal credit. If he continues to get saves and pitches well he deserves a spot on next year's roster. Of course he nibbles too much and walks too many batters but the results matter most.

He's 11/12 in save opportunities and he has a 2.54 ERA with the Nats.

He's so hit-or-miss. Some of his fastballs have silly motion that no one could hit in a million years. He needs to focus in the offseason.

Morgan .304
Guzman .316
Zimmerman .300
Dunn .281
Willingham .309

If we get Flores back 100% next year and sign a 2B-man (i.e. Hudson) we will have a lineup capable of contending in the NL.

the pitching is another story but I think that will come around in time.

Tuesday: Down 4-0 in the 8th and come back and win 6-4.
Thursday: Down 6-0 after 3 innings and come back and win 12-8.
Friday: Down 5-0 in the 2nd inning and come back and win 7-6.
