That is the fist time Chavez gave up a run to the Nationals
Maybe the Pirates would trade him for Sosa

Fixed.

LOL  Zimmerman has been heating up lately and as he heats up SF goes from a mouse to a wolf. I think it's funny how Guzman and Zimmerman both came out of their slumps at the same time.

Am I the only one wondering why his intro music isn't "Can't Touch This?"

lol @ those who wanted to trade willingham.

sf, let it go, even though beimel is older than 25 he's still a good pitcher.

Maybe because Willingham is at his peak and would command a decent haul for a guy who was cheap like him.

Maybe.  I agree with you, but you never know.  I was just giving you the facts that you and everyone else who says that lacked.  We weren't getting a pick for him.

If Rizzo wasn't an idiot we'd either have a pick or another year of Beimel. Either way is better than the trash we got in that trade. Rizzo better make me eat my words here but he sure seems like a fool after this move. It simply doesn't help his case to act dumb and claim there was no intention of offering arbitration.

Ive been discussing with my brother about jerseys and shirts but here is my next investment that I am taking opinions on.

Should I buy a Willingham jersey and Lannan shirt or Lannan jersey and Willingham shirt. I was thinking the latter.

:worship:

and happy birthday cmdterps 8)

Happy B cmdterps. I'm sure you'll end up being a better man than your brother will ever be. Although that may not be too difficult.

We are taking out about 20 million from payroll,

When you figure in WMP, NJ, Young, Belliard, Kearns and Beimel the Nats will have close to 24 million shaved off the payroll. All they need to do now is allocate that towards Strasburg and pretend they have spent.  :? It looks like apart from Guzman, Dunn, Zimmerman and Harris (about 28 million) the Nats have nothing but arbitration eligible players, players with options or year to yeat type players lined up for next season.

Buy a jersey and have your own name on it.

This is the best option until the front office can get "The Plan" to take effect. IE, you'll be all set on jerseys for a decade or two.
