It takes a lot for me to link to the Moonie Rag

"Nothing's changed," one player said. "We just traded Manny for Pat" Corrales, who takes over as bench coach.

What a maroon. Last night was the night for him to establish himself. Everyone knows you start off as a hardass and then let up a bit later, so people respect you.

Should have made Corrales manager.

What we have is a failure to communicate.

If that's directed to me, I abhor the idea of putting anyone on ignore.

It's in the Times, so I give it a 75% chance of being true.

Hold on a sec.  I thought Obama was the Messiah.  Of course, West Virginians think its Robert Byrd who is the Messiah.  How many friggin' Messiahs are there in DC?  I tell ya, sometimes I think it is a good thing I dropped out of the pre-seminary program - I'm getting all confused.  All I'm sure anymore is that Strom Thurmond was Methuselah.

I wanted to be a priest until I found out you had to work on Sundays.  Screw that.

stupid thread, stupid article.

Thom Loverro been doing this "I hate the Nats" schtick since the day it was announced that they'd be moving here. No matter what happens, he takes as extreme a negative stance as humanely possible. Even in the first half of 05 when the Nats were kicking ass.

It's been one game, Thom. We're not going to win the World Series one game after firing the manager.

also, anyone with sense realizes that this season is lost, and the 2nd half is basically for 2010 evaluation. It sucks, but that's what it is.

here's a little nugget for ya, rigglemans' big ra ra speech was not about accountability or if you don't perform you're gone, but about
"how to properly wear a uniform." Preferrably like him, skin tight 80's look. somehow, somewhere he got the idea that the 80's skin tight spandex pants look is the "proper" way to wear your uniform. He doesn't like the "sloppy" way the new players wear theri uni. I would like to first say, all he needs to look to is babe ruth for how the uniform should be worn if he wants to be "OLD school"

Telling players that they are sloppy in the way they wear their uniforms is stupid. There are more important things to worry about with this team than trying to force them to look like we're back in the 1980's.

No really, fire him.

He made Manny's lineups, the stupid lineups with Belliard, etc. continue.

He's terrible with the bullpen, and didn't argue the close play at the plate early in the game.

He may actually be just plain stupid. This guy SUCKS!!!!!
