It looks like Olsen just needed a few weeks of rest.  He has looked great in his last two starts.

Maybe Olsen really was hurt all season and now he is back healthy again.  Looking pretty good so far this start.

Pretty surprising that only two third basemen made the NL AS team.

He just put more into that pitch. He wasn't nice and easy like he usually is.

I agree.  Didn't they only have two last year as well.  Also, they took so many 1B, they had to make up for it somewhere.

Why is that funny? Because they're not your boys?

why are they hacking early in the count? Lowe is going to pitch a CG easily if they keep this up.

Yeah, but wasn't he topping out at 91 when he was throwing hard before the DL stint?  The time off definitely helped him get some velocity back.

Wait until you see the replay of that pitch. That was the first time I've seen him put that much into it all season. I do think his arm is stronger now, though.

Wait until you see the replay of that pitch. That was the first time I've seen him put that much into it all season.

so you don't think the rest helped him get any velocity back?

we have the best hitting pitchers in the NL. outstanding

no more stiffs that can't handle the bat like Bergmann, Cabrera, etc.
