hmm, red sox captain before varitek...

Was it something Vaughn or something?

I bet it goes back to the days of Carl Yaztrzemski.

That's actually kind of dumb. If people are going to be obsessed with nicknames why not at least be original.  :?

Yea but I think nicknames come out of the blue. Initial Nicknames or silly nicknames can work temporarily (ask my brother) but I want something to emerge that people will be shouting at games.

Like Jordan makes a diving catch = air jordan :P but you know what im getting at. No one gets original nicknames unless they do something cool.

okay after wiki research it was Jim Rice and before Rice was Carl Pigs and Jello.

I was way off. I was thinking of Mo Vaughn. Damn I was so young I didnt even know what team he played for (Blue Jays?)

WE have to get at least one more run so we can declare the offense fixed, again.

He is a pretty good player. Smart team player w/ skills. In this draft, I'm not surprised he was picked so high.

I don't disagree, but I think 13's probably a little high.

great college player. should be a nice energy guy to bring off the bench. not worth the 13th overall pick though.
