It's disrespectful of the Nationals.

What?
He's getting lit up in his first game back. Give him a break. He obviously doesn't have it tonight.
Maybe he asked to stay in though. We don't know the whole story.

I think sportsfan got more wood watching that play than he did with the BWT.

Debbi Taylor must be having orgasms on the field,
with all these Red Sox players around her.

I'm just trying to figure out how letting Smoltz go back out is disrespecting him.  He got knocked around a bit his first couple of innings back.  He's settled into a groove the past couple, why would they take him out?

Because the pitcher was coming up and an out would have been recorded anyone.

Good point - shows how closely I'm watching - I had a filet that demanded my attention.

Dunn at first base makes me long for Dunn in the outfield.   :icon_mrgreen:

Why?  He hasn't screwed anything up, and unless Zimm or Guz are throwing the ball over his head or into the dirt, 1B should theoretically be a lot easier for him.

And besides, if he misses a few balls what's the difference?  According to sportsfan he's already given up 30 doubles playing in left :?

Obviously, that inning completely changed my feelings. I thought he was done.

He said it was disrespectful to the Nats not to Smoltz.

It's disrespectful to us.  The Red Sox should be worried about winning this game.  If you're worried, you pinch hit for the pitcher at that point.

How is that NOT a strike! Smoltz got a strike called that was not as good as that pitch!
