They give away so many outs. That's the second unearned run they've given up.

Thats not on Villone to much, was on the outside, but I think Kapler was looking for exactly that, a get out quick pitch.

That hurts

Of course it would happen to us.

Keep serving it up, Ron.

Manny thinks he's like a freaking unhittable beast or something.

Villone needs to be used in small doses.

Why is Villone still in the game to face these righties?

True. We have several, if not all, of our bullpen that is suited for short appearances.

Yeah I can't think of any long relievers that we have.

Mets up 8-7 with 2 outs and two on against the Yankees in the bottom of the 9th. A-Rod up against K-Rod.

error on Castillo and 2 runs score and the Yanks walk-off and win 9-8 on a 2-run error.

Mutts just lost to the Yanks 9-8 on a huge last out blunder.

EDIT: Heh, SF beat me to it. Sort of makes my night a tad bit better.

Should have traded NJ when we still could have gotten something for him.

4-3, not 4-2, Bob.

gift wrapped indeed. This team is such a freaking joke. I don't know how Rizzo can sit there and watch this crap with a straight face in the stands.

The offense gave up after the first inning and the defense cost us 3 runs.

Fine job by the pitching staff, AGAIN.

DCFan should be happy. Ray Knight is freaking pissed off and depressed once again.

I'm glad he's back.

It is no surprise our defense sucks. Just look at the roster.

It is time to completely clean house in the off-season. Build the roster with sound defensive players that can handle the bat.

Bard is worse than Johnny Estrada behind the plate. Such a liability.

Passion and emotion, I love it!  At least Lerner hasn't neutered Knight like he did with Dibs.  :whip:

Nobody neutered Dibs, stop perpetuating that as if it were a fact
