Is Dunn going to DH tonight?

something like...

Guzman
Johnson
Zimmerman
Dunn - DH
Dukes - CF
Willingham - LF
Kearns - RF
Nieves
Hernandez

?? hmmm...

That'd work for me, but I think they'll probably have Willingham DH.

Probably.  I might even consider swapping Nieves and Kearns the way AK is swinging it (or not) right now.

Manny already said Dunn would DH for at least the Tampa series.

Garza is going to have his way with our order...I like having Dunn as a DH. I can't stand having that guy in the field.

I think interleague play is going to be very, very ugly for this ballclub.  Like, historically awful.  I hope I am wrong.

I'm expecting big things out of Dukes this series. Although I'm afraid he might get too overhyped for it and do something controversial (like the way he celebrated the walk-off walk against the Braves last year [which for the matter I LOVED], except worse). But if not I'd like to see him go out there and show up the team that gave up on him.

Does the DH have to hit for the pitcher?  Could we just let Stammen hit 9th, and have Dunn be the DH for Kearns?  I think we'd get more hits that way.

Because I actually think Kearns' bat is still a bigger threat than Harris' and he plays better defense.  If Willingham's bat wasn't actually pretty good right now, I'd consider a Dukes, Harris, Kearns OF.  With this collection of players, I'd probably rather see it Hammer, Kearns, Dukes rather than Hammer, Dukes Kearns, but that's probably just me.

I'd give Kearns the advantage in arm strength and power, with Harris getting the edge in nearly every other skill.

I also like Kearns, and Dukes over Kearns Dukes. Kearns Dukes is a terrible name for a player.  :icon_mrgreen:

True, but Kearns's fielding advantage in arm strength is offset by Harris's range (and ability not to embarrass himself once in a while), and his advantage with pop is offset by his lack of command of the strike zone.  He doesn't even really have power himself, any more.
