Man.....Strasburg would truly be the best pitcher on this staff if he were here today. I have no doubt about that. I don't even think it would be close. We have a staff that should be playing in AAA. Don't get me wrong...I think Zim2 will be huge, and I like Detweiler, but they should really be playing in the minors now.
true but I still prefer watching the young guys opposed to the likes of Crab and Olsen.

Martis has to improve. He just doesn't look sharp. Too many pitches over the plate.

who's the first to go martis or stammen?

stammen probably to AAA. remember, we've got olsen, balester, martin, and maybe chico who will get shots again.

We will see Balester , Martin, Strasburg in the Bigs soon. Thank God we do have a stable of Major league ready starters in AAA.

Saying Martis sucks is like saying Balester sucks.  I don't think either of them do.  They both have struggled as young pitchers in the league though.  Martis probably will need to take the same route and go back to AAA to work some things out.

I agree with Berkely.  Everyone except Lannan would have been best served with another year in AAA (maybe some spot starts in b/w).

martis has been terrible recently.

1 pitch pop out for Dukes.

Man it would be nice if our offense stepped up to provide our young pitchers with run support for a change. I mean come on. this is sick. :bang:

That is different then saying he sucks.  Get a grip.  Daniel Cabrera sucked.  Martis is a young pitcher that needs some more time in the minors.

then send him down.  he's been garbage recently.  but at least he's still young.  i don't know why we continue to hold on to kearns.

that's the opposite way storms usually track.  I'm in Oakton, directly west of the park, and usually we are a leading indicator of coming weather at NP.  Right now, we're very gloomy but not raining or even looking like rain is imminent.

I am sure, with the way Balester has been pitching, that Martis is on the verge of being sent down.  Which is the way it should be.  You struggle for 4 or 5 starts, you go down.  You sort your crap out and hope to get another chance.  And if all goes well, you come back up and pitch much better.  In a perfect world that is how it would work IMO.

stay away from bridges, hammonds. a young rotation is what everyone wanted, so take the bad with the good.
