I think almost everyone on this board has figured that out but Acta can't realize it for some reason.

But maybe his injury only shows up in his second consecutive inning of work.

I think Acta is saving Willie Harris for Lidge in the 9th. I believe Willie has gotten 2 hits off of Lidge this year.

Willie should have been playing all game then maybe they wouldn't be using Lidge because we might be leading.

Harris should be leading off.  Guzman should be batting 6th and Maxwell should be the 25th player on the roster.

Willingham and Dunn are JOKES in the outfield. i always wonder what dudes like them are doing in the NL. don't they know there is another league where they can just hit?!

He has 11 Ks in 24 MLB ABs this season.
In AAA he had 44 Ks in 100 ABs this season.
That's a 44% whiff rate. Terrible.

Beyond terrible.  He's not a professional baseball player.  He should be playing for the Long Island Ducks.

Would you prefer to be a one way player in the AL or two way player in the NL?

Yeah I don't know why Willie doesn't get more playing time.  It annoys me that two outfield positions are basically a different player every game.  I wish Acta would pick Dunn + two others and stick with them.

4 innings of scoreless ball by our bullpen tonight. I can't believe it.

and despite the relief core finally starting to come around a little we can't win. Defense and offense continue to stagnate. Rookie pitchers are unpredictable.

Still giving up 5-6 runs a game it's just not all coming from the bullpen now.

Agreed. Just go with Willingham every day. Maybe he will get into a groove and start to hit. Stop the flip flopping between him and Kearns.

Same with AH and Belliard. freak Belliard. Let AH play every single game.

I used to like Belliard but it seems this season he's really gone down hill.

certainly not good but at one point our offense was also scoring 5-6 runs a game consistently.

I agree it definitely seems like our pitching has settled down but the hitting has gone away also.  I like that the walks by the pitching staff seem to be way down.

That's a lot to ask but it looks like our starters are about to take up the baton of suckitude. They were due.

Allowing THIS Brad Lidge to get a save should be considered an insult!
