Can any of our OFers catch a ball on the warning track?

Det is getting rocked. This was way overdue though. Dude has barely pitched above AA.

He wasn't going to keep pitching like he did in those first two starts.

Except they were scored two wild pitches, one passed ball.

Maxwell just looked goofy too. I'm not surprised he missed it, but I am surprised he looked goofy.
poor misplays in the OF. they weren't easy plays but both looked like complete fools out there. Dunn let a ball go over his head and then picked up the ball and spiked it in front of him. He had to pick it up and throw it again to get it into the infield.

Willingham just made a goofy ass looking attempt at a fly ball heading towards the LF wall. J-Max bailed him out and came in and threw the ball into the infield.

That may be true, but what I've seen so far is a 95 MPH fastball and a 12-6 curve that comes in around 79.  That's ridiculously good for a college kid.

He is good for a college kid but I'm waiting to see how he fares against better quality players.

The score looks bad, but the pitch count is 16:33 B:S and he's getting that curve in the zone.  His only problem so far is living up in the zone.

no they are freaking inept. so pathetic. All 3 of those balls were catchable.

I thought we hired Grissom, Devon White, etc. to work with these guys. Again, it all comes back on Acta and the lack of fundamentals this team has shown ever since he was hired here.

I don't care what level you're on.  If there's 18 MPH between your fastball and your curveball you've got great material.  As long as he throws strikes, he'll succeed.

Then again, I've only watched this one start.

Strasburg isn't looking major-league ready. Lots of talent, but the kid will need work in the minors. I don't get the scouts who think he could pitch in the majors today. Yeah, you could throw him out there, but teams could do some serious damage

The only one that was remotely catchable was the one to CF and that only because Maxwell is so gifted. By the things you say sportsfan, I don't believe you could've ever played real baseball because you don't realize how difficult it is to play the game. You think everything is easy.

I heard someone say that he is better than AJ Burnett right now. I find that difficult to believe. But I have to admit it's exciting.

Obviously he still needs seasoning, but he's got the tools to be great.

horrible pitch. and now this game is over.
Ibanez loves facing the Nats.
I hope we lose twenty in a row.

as Seattle's interim manager, our bench coach Riggleman released the slumping Ibanez from Seattle last year, mid-season.

Strasburg will fit in well here.  HR in the 1st, another run allowed in the 2nd, 2 WPs, AND an error.

it's scouts.  i've seen most of his starts this is his worst.  give credit to uva they are a good team, but he's not hitting his locations.  he'll be just fine.

He pitch against some really weak competition at times.

I agree that he is not ML-ready right now but don't get too down on him. He hasn't had a bad start like this all year. He was way overdue for one. UVA is a damn good team too.

So I turned the game off for the night, but I'd just like to say that Dunn is a bad fielder, but Willingham is 4x worse.
