I'd say Carpenter would be upset not getting to meet Feller, but I imagine he was quite happy to take a break and watch the Cards play instead.

a lot of teams take trains up to NY or Philly after leaving DC. Sometimes the Redskins do that and so do the Nats. I think the players like it.

Trade Johnson, Dunn to 1st full time, Willingham/Kearns in LF, Maxwell in CF, Dukes in RF.

I'd be fine with that line up.

Only thing is I'd ask for a AA or better 1B/OF prospect stuck in with the pitcher we'd get for Johnson.
