I knew it made a difference but I didn't think it would have this much impact. I mean he didn't see much other than junk today and they walked him twice.

I guess it makes sense why you were one of the few who thought the Dunn signing wouldn't help much then. Yeah, his presence in the lineup definitely gets Zimmerman more pitches to hit.

I knew as soon as I posted that you'd take it all wrong.  Let me rephrase:

I wish that the streak would have ended the way it went all along, NOT with such an obvious factor beyond Zimmerman's skill/control being the cause.

But that's the way things go Chief. I wonder if some of our all timers here know who batted behind DiMaggio. I'm assuming it was Bill Dickey but I'm not sure.
