Burrito Brothers went the way of the dodo bird, but there's a lot of veg stuff in Adams Morgan.  The reef has an organic menu with a lot of veggie stuff, and you are surrounded by huge saltwater aquariums (or a nice view from the roof deck).  Closer to the stadium there is a tonne of stuff around the Chinatown/Verizon metro.

Zed's Ethiopian on M Street or that Eritrean place I mentioned would work well.

They recommend Amsterdam Falafel, Sticky Rice is good but you have to have a car and the neighborhood is iffy, Burrito Bros is supposed to be great, On the Fly has veggie organic food vedor carts, Levante's is excellent, etc.

Those dancers are fresh out of the mental hospital...trust me.

Cough...but I digress.

Hell yah, we'll be at the first Reds game tomorrow...first 10,000 get a "Draft Day" t-shirt (there should be 5,000 left over), and Bruce Boudreau is throwing the first pitch.

I know it well.  ;) :icon_mrgreen:

I haven't been to the Air and Space Annex yet, but there IS a parking fee of 12.00 as I recall.  They used to have a shuttle bus from the downtown Air and Space, but I don't know if they still have it or how much it cost.

If you or your friends fly out of Dulles, there's a fifty cent shuttle from the airport. It is outrageous to charge 12 dollars parking at a free museum

Yeah, but how much do you pay for parking at Dulles?

Yeah, I know, I also don't like how you have to pay for parking at some hospitals!!!  But I digress.

I guess they have to charge something to put all those huge planes in there!

Show up at the airport 3 hours earlier than you normally would for your next flight, take the shuttle and enjoy! 50 cents for the trip!

$12 to park but free admission.

Cheapo tip - they open the gates at 4pm which gives you an hour and a half to tour with no parking fee. Downside is that they close the control tower at 4.

Anyone want free tickets for the game this afternoon?  I was going to take my wife and kids but with rain in the forecast they're staying home.  The seats are in section 222, I'll have at least two and maybe three available.

Both houses do weekend matinees, but you'd have to check specific schedules.

http://www.studiotheatre.org/

Considering tomorrow or Sat.

Sat is 8 dollars more for much worse seats :(

The weekend matinees at Studio are a good deal.  I have season subscriptions for Studio and Woolly Mammoth, and they are a bargain compared to the evening shows.  Lots of old folks all dressed up, but only a few fall asleep LOL

Living in New York I have always gone to 3 or so Nationals games per year, one in Washington and two at Shea. This year I am really trying to get out to see'em more often no matter how much they are sucking.

First game I went to: Nats/Orioles - Was an exhibition game at Nationals park (the one right before the first real game). We won! Meant nothing but we did it!!

Second game: Mets/Nats May 24th - At Citi, Lannan pitched - so that rocked. Still lost though.

Third upcoming: Nats/Yanks - You may know I am a former Yankees fan, so this is a pretty interesting game. During the 06 season I was rooting for both teams at the same time and converted fully by 07 to just the Nats. Didn't get to go to the Yanks/Nats series in 2006 so this should be really fun.

Fourth/Fifth: Nats/Sox - Road trip with my best friend up to Washington, we're staying at a hotel - gonna see movies all day and then Nats on the 24th and 25th! Should be awesome. He is a Muts fan so we were going to go in July but wanted to go earlier.

Sorry this is random but I'm just so excited. I love watching the Nats even though they suck. I love Nationals Park too!!

Will be trying to get some votes from our AL brothers, I know Yankee fans generally like and respect Zim even after that walk off against them.
As for Dunn, who knows, lol.

I doubt they even remember who he is or let alone care.

I'm sure they are all betting on the Nats this series too.

They were sure hoping we'd win the last series vs the Rays!

Looks like in both Sox games I'll be in Section 105 Row M. Does anyone know if these are legit? I've sat in this outfield location before and it was fun but I'm not sure if this is the same place.

Sat in the Centerfield Lounge before and it's really great.

If Ortiz hits one right to you, throw it back...

LOL, as much as I hate the Sox it's hard not to feel bad for Big Papi, 4 homers, 25 RBIs, .204 avg.

Back in the country (and in town) looking forward to a weekend full of home games and then trying to be a voice for the Nats amid a sea of Sawx fans.

We'll be there Friday for the Jays and then back on Tuesday (Mathguy's birthday) for the Red Sox.  I hope the weather is better than our track record thus far this season. The last 2 games I went to I had to dive into the Red Porch just as they were closing the patio doors against a storm.

Sunday vs Blue Jays - attend
Tuesday vs Red Sox - attend
Wednesday vs Red Sox - attend
Thursday vs Red Sox - miss (Mystics conflict)

Going to DC tomorrow - so pumped! Not to mention we're gonna see Zimnn and Detwiler pitch!

One more thing... do you guys know any other stuff to do besides museums during the day in DC? We're staying at the Holiday Inn near the L'Enfant Plaza station, closer is better but we can take the metro I guess too.
