Sadly, I think we'll still finish dead last.Fortunately, to make myself feel better, I'm going to throw a big party on Draft Day next year.
Not taking into account the dead tailspin the Royals have gone into?
At least they are in a tailspin still. The Nats have already crashed and burned. We are currently sifting through the wreckage and trying to identify the bodies.
Ugh, Jesus. Just reminded myself of the final stretch by looking at the schedule again. That's like running the gauntlet through hell.Well, let's hope to do some spoiling.
Our magic number is 27. We have 31 games left, the Royals have 32. I'm hoping we get the #2 pick.
no chance. we can't beat good teams.
Actually...every team left on KC's schedule except for the 3 game set they start tonight with Oakland, is still in a pennant race of some sort...We can't make that claim.
No? It looks to me like other than the Mets, everyone is still in play.
royals' is harder than ours.

The problem with not taking Harper is that, today, the #2-whatever guys are not on the same level as Harper. The next best bat is likely college catcher Yasmani Grandal who is more a #15-20 guyAfter that it is a slew of arms college and a HS
As optimistic as I was, without Nyjer this team won't break out of the cellar.I just hope they don't take Bryce Harper.
He's an arrogant tool, who is probably no where near as good, as his ego thinks he is.I can see this douche holding out if he doesn't make big bucks. He also is years away.. We need help now, not 5 years from now.
How about Christian Colon I've read various good reports on his make-up and team leadership skills. Plus he plays a premium position. Do you think he is in top 5 consideration for next year? Still I think Rizzo can pull it off again and get B. Harper in here for around 10 mil.
