So according to my repair status, they are now shipping it back to me, but it's totally clear to me if they fixed it or not.

 What?!

You've obviously never played StarCraft.

No I have. I'm saying compared to Warcraft. Warcraft has so much "lore" behind it its perfect for its own mmorpg. I doubt Starcraft could make it anywhere as far as Warcraft in as an rpg.

Just bought Bad Company 2 for the 360.  Anyone else have it?

Anyone have one of the new slim Xbox 360's yet?  I'm thinking of getting one.  My original 360 is aging, and with the built in wifi, I can put the new one in my bedroom for now for netflix streaming and other media duties.

Not to put to fine a point on it - you are wrong.  You must not have been paying much attention or not finished the entire game + expansion, because it has a huge amount of lore, backstory, and in-game story.  The upcoming sequel is so huge that it's being released as three separate games.  Go do some research, I think you'll be surprised.

The thing about that is there isn't much story behind Starcraft. The warcraft series has been out since like 91. It also has a load of books that add to the "lore". As cool as a starcraft mmo would be, I doubt It'd be possible since Warcraft has alot of backstory to use.

I really want a warcraft 4. Warcraft III was cool.

Everything you said in this post, StarCraft has.  Well, except for the duller-than-a-rusty-knife MMO.  Thank god for that.  If anything, StarCraft's lore/backstory is MUCH more consistent and coherent than that of Warcraft.

There might only be 1 starcraft game but it's got all the backstory that warcraft does with the endless books they have for both franchises.

WoW dull!?  Ok, so I never actually read the quest text except to see how many of beast X I have to slay or how many item Z I need to collect to complete it

I have no idea why WoW has the pull that it has to keep people playing, but I can play for hours at a time.  Still haven't had a toon to ding 80 yet.  Probably work on my lvl 63 mage tonight.

Okay okay, I'm talking out of my @$$ on that one.  I've never actually played WoW, but all I ever read about it is how tedious it is.  Cracked even ran an article about how it was like having a second job.

To be honest, there have been weeks when I first got back into it a few weeks ago where I had more than 40 hours a week playtime.  More that a second full time job :? :-[

BTW, it's a lot faster if you do it with a friend and the "Recruit a Friend" program.  Triple experience till lvl 60 = 3x faster leveling.

I enjoy running the auction house   No SEC to deal with, so sometimes I pick an item, buy out all the other peoples auctions, then set my own prices much higher.  Monopolies FTW!

I don't know if you've played any other MMO's besides WoW but they all end up being the same and get very tedious.

I'm not saying Starcraft couldn't be a great MMO, I just believe when comparing it to Warcraft, they made the correct choice. Plus I feel that since they've been making Starcraft 2 for so long they have had the time to write so much more story so maybe after the sequel, it could be on warcraft's level. I also feel that they're doing that just so they can release "3" starcraft games at 60 bucks. Great marketing but it seems overwhelming IMO. Anyway, back on topic. I've been playing wow on and off since its been out. I spent one day reading things on wowwiki learning the lore and I still haven't read everything. It's awesome how much stuff is packed into the game. It stays consistent. The only things that may veer off is when blizzard feels they need to release a new patch and "resurrect" some boss or add some random guy. It sucks when they do it but in the long run, they still create lore that fits and pretty much more than half of wow's base cares about loot anyway.

It's one of those games that I enjoy spending free time on when I have nothing else to do. I moved back home for this upcoming semester so I may see myself playing the new one during that time. Since my first time playing wow, I haven't played it longer than 2 months. (Span of two months, not time played :D ). It's pretty simple after you level a guy because eventually you will know where everything is. I find it rather enjoyable than tedious but thats just me. (PVPing while leveling may be one of my favorite things in a game).

PVP is fun.  Getting ganked over and over by an 80 as a lowbie is not.

You still playing at the moment? I stopped since January, taking my usual break and all. Thinking about getting into it before the end of the summer if I don't find anything else to play. I want to try out all the stuff before the new game comes out.

Yep, I'll be playing tonight

I've moved of Illidan because it was too overpopulated.  I'm on Frostwolf now, with mostly horde toons.

By all means keep having fun.  I'm not trying to say that WoW isn't fun.  I played MMO's for like 8 years spending most of my time in DAoC and WoW.  Since I quit a couple of years ago I just don't find them enjoyable anymore.

You playing with anyone? Did you do refer a friend? I've done that twice. It was so worth it. My dudes are all on Wildhammer though, horde.

On another Starcraft note: It definitely is a badass story, don't get me wrong. Like I said in the first post about it, a starcraft mmo would be cool awesome.

I started in WoW waaay late.  I just recently got the game, so it does kind of suck at first since it's been out since 2004 (?) and a lot of terms I didn't know at first.  Like the LF1M and UC, SMC, TB type abbreviations.

Yeah, I play with my cousin.  We played a bit back in October, and I got a gnome warrior up to lvl 41, I joined under RaF.  Then he lost his access to internet for a while and I didn't play.  He just got a new computer and we started playing again, this time he rejoined under RaF, so we started all new toons on a new server with the XP bonus.

I can't wait until I can pick up my sweet RaF bonus 2 passenger rocket mount!

I believe I started playing 2005 and then took many breaks from there. I also had a friend who started me into it so he helped me with all the terms and abbreviations. It definitely was helpful. I remember my first guy. I was so bad with him. It was a druid. I got into one of those raiding guilds and I remember people joking with me because my gear sucked. Good thing I was resto so they needed me. Got so much loot fast. haha

Oh crap I forgot they changed it. I remember it was the Zebra mount. I have one of those. I did raf once with 4 people. It was pretty awesome. We got atleast 2 60s over the time period. Then of course, the guy who started the chain got 2 free 60s with the level granting, while the second received one.

 my very first toon was a tauren druid.  Got to lvl 19 and gave up with him.  I, to this day, hate tanking.  It's too freaking hard

Actually, all of my current toons are DPS with the exception of my lvl 1 bank alt parked in the Orgrimmar AH.

If I started playing my druid when they started to be used for everything, I think I would've been a tank. A bear tank would be awesome. After I got my druid to 60, I created an orc warlock. Hes been my main since.

That's the latest team of toons me and my cousin just started to work on.  We're at level 20.  I'm an orc warlock and he's a troll hunter.
My current toons are:

63 Undead Mage
58 Blood Elf Paladin
27 Tauren Druid
25 Troll hunter
25 Undead Rogue
20 Orc Warlock
17 Orc Shaman
1 bank alt

And left over from the Alliance days
38 Dwarf Paladin
17 Gnome Rogue

And on my old server
41 Gnome Warrior
19 Tauren Druid

Yes, I'm an alt-a-holic.

hahah I feel you on the alt a holic thing. My friend couldn't decide who he wanted to be at one point. We would both agree on rolling new players and wanted to "feed off" eachother. Like if he were melee, Id be caster, etc etc. Once RAF came around, it worked out for the both of us. I think I have something like

5 guys above 60 (1 80) and then like 12 below 60 (3 between 30-59)
