 love it.  storen, holder and morris have all gotten off to solid starts (and even kobernus has been money his last few games before going on the dl).  :worship: rizzo

We went through a round on "do minor league system ratings mean anything" a while back, but I'm wondering with Hood's improvement, Marrero's bounce back, Storen's performance, Norris (of course), and the possibility of signing Strasburg, and the various middle infielders, will this system be back in the top 10 next year?

Nope. We're one of the worst in baseball right now... a few surprise seasons from a couple of our guys won't make us a powerhouse.

that's just not true.

I don't really care where they rank our system though. they don't know crap.

Lombardozzi has been on fire the last month for Hagerstown.  3-4 tonight, average up to .303.

suit yourself.

We do not have one of the worst farm systems. not even close.

I know this system better than they do.

We do lose our #1 prospect (JZ) and one of our top 3 pitching prospects (Detwiler), so we shouldn't get a huge bump.

Are you paid to evaluate our farm system? No? Then no, you don't know it better.

He hasn't gotten a lot of fan fare but he has had a really nice season.

Looking forward to seeing him play in Potomac either later this season or next year.

That is irrelevant. I know this system in and out. Have followed it very closely since the move to D.C.

Those guys that rank the systems know the top few guys of every team but they have no idea of everyone else.

You know it in and out?

You think Roger Bernadina is going to be an everyday major league player. You are delusional.

You overrate ever player in our system and trash anyone that isn't part of it. That's not opinion, that's fact.

Those guys have watched more MiLB games than you have. They are paid to watch those games. I find it hard to believe that you watch that many games considering the commitment you have to watching Dunn and Bard screw up so you can meltdown.

Rizzo and the Nats also believe Roger can be our CFer. A shame he got injured because he would have spent a lot of valuable time playing in the Majors.

Overrate? who have I overrated?

what does that matter? They do not know the entire system as well as I and others on here do and that is fact.

Prove it. If it's a fact you should have no problem doing so.

how can I prove it?

I don't see why I need to anyways. I don't care what anyone thinks. It is a fact in my mind.

We gain the #1 overall prospect and another guy who figures to be in the top 100 in Storen. Those two additions, along with Norris (likely to be in the top 50) and Marerro's return should bump us up somewhere in the high teens. Just my $.02, but I think it'll happen.

I think we will move-up for sure. I believe we will sign Strasburg he is obviously top 10 on their total list next year. Marrero 40-70? Storen 50-80? Desmond?

lol, morgan is so much better than bernadina.  roger may get the occasional spot start here and there, but the way morgan is playing and how the team loves him/his personality/his energy/his ability to get on base and track fly balls ... i think he is going to be our CF for the next few years which is awesome.
