I haven't been on an official tour, but I did get a chance to visit the clubhouse, bullpen, dugout, and Presidents' Club, and I've been in one of the Lincoln suites.  It would be cool if they would let you throw off the bullpen mound, and hit in the batting cages down underneath, like we could do.

I'd say it's probably worth doing, for any Nats geek with a camera jones.

Not a bad deal for only 15 bucks. I'll probably go next week.

They let you go in the bullpen and clubhouse? Is this only because it isn't baseball season or will they do this during the season too?
This is the first tour I've heard of that lets you in those areas.

I didn't do a tour, I went to a private event where they had food, fun and games on the field, and those areas you mentioned were open for inspection or play time.  YOu could hit in the batting cages, throw off the mound, etc.

Wife & I went on the tour last June on a Thursday morning, only 4 people in our group but had a really nice tour and got to see all areas -- several suites, press box, clubhouse.  We had a great guide with lots of stories and willing to answer all questions.  Very impressive and well worth the $15.  Everyone should do it!

I went in October.  It was kind of rainy that day but it was worth it.  You do a lot of walking.  I went at the 11:30 with a girl named Jennifer who was very good.  You get to see the view from the press box, Suites, Diamond Club seats, the indoor batting practice area, the bullpen (and I threw some pitches too).  In the bullpen on the left hand side a metal fork was in the dirt.   Is that for a Fork Ball?   ;) Ha Ha, I slay me!

I liked it and want to go again sometime.  When its warmer!

If that happened, I guarantee the NQ's readership would jump from three readers to ten overnight.

No Teixera sightings, but had an absolutely fantastic time. Review and pictures are on my blog at this posting:

Did they show you where TomTerp sat in the dugout?

No, but they showed us the seat where Tomterp's ball landed when he threw in the bullpen. They painted it fuchsia or something to commemorate. Reminded them of Matt Chico. ;)

$15 seems like a lot if their not going to point out the "Terp" hi-lites.

Fortunately, it isn't even called a "stadium tour", it's a "ballpark tour".  Stadiums are for the NFL.
