IF we did get Tex, it will help beyond the playing field.
The rest of the league will know that we are dead serious about wanting to compete. You have to put up or shut up, and this would be a clear FU to all those that keep calling us the "lowly" Nationals.

We can convince other FA to want to come here, and actually earn some respect by GMs and baseball insiders.
