well to be honest, while OH does provide some quality entertainment, they are basically the Extremskins of Baltimore in terms of the ridiculous homer/mouthbreathers to rational poster ratio.

other Orioles forums don't really seem to think too highly of OH.
Oh come on, how many other Orioles forums have "insiders"? :D :D

I'm over there now, reading some gibberish about the Orioles "wanting everyone to think that they are out of it, and keeping their WOW bid a secret so they can stick it to the media."

or somesuch.

and sooooooo many people there believe this.

I think this is more of a Warehouse ploy for a smokescreen while the final details are being ironed out for an announcement.

But believe what you wish...

just...wow.

On Orioles Hangout there are two guys who have "inside sources" which have been vetted by the admins, and who post things their sources tell them, or sometimes just post mysterious things like "WOW." in really giant letters (as happened a few days ago). There are also a couple fake sources - for instance, I registered during the Teix sweeps and pretended to have inside knowledge of something big that was about to happen, just to rile them up...

This thing is starting to resemble the Manhattan Project. I didn't know the Orioles had that much pull.

Jeff,

Thanks for joining, you're welcome to drop in and comment anytime.  I do take exception to your characterization that most of us have poo pooed your story.  Most of us have not commented on your story at all, though perhaps the majority of those who did comment were skeptical.  I can assure you I've read the postings and visited your site with keen interest, and hope you're on to something there.

I think it's natural to be skeptical given your site hasn't been a source that we have any track record with.  It doesn't mean you haven't developed a credible source, it just means that we aren't privy to it and haven't had a chance to see the evidence yet, and it is natural to question stories that seemingly come out of left field (haha).

Is there anything you can share with us related to the information you have, that would not compromise the confidentiality of your source?

Actually I didn't.  I posted your conversation with Cransick, showing that you guys do have credibility.

But as for the naysayers, don't take it personal, a lot of us are being careful of who to believe.

We'll see if you're right on this one.  Hopefully you are.  And welcome to WNFF.

Even if we do get him, I still won't believe that "Sources [<-- that'd be multiple people] within the Nationals Organization" told you anything. Sorry.

By the way Jeff, in light of your post here, I'm guessing you still feel strongly that Tex is coming here? Nothing has transpired since the blog entry that would hurt the Nats chances?

If Tex comes here, I'm willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. I thought it was a real longshot that we'd get him, and his site suggested the Nats when everyone else was going in a different direction on this.

Thanks guys...didn't intend to over generalize...Thanks to those who understand what this is about. I have to laugh at the "I don't believe you have a source" crowd..like it's so unreal that someone in Maine might have a friend high up in a Sports organization and have that friend tell them a story that is factually true...it kills me..obviously if you look at some of the people we have interviewed we aren't just a bunch of morons. We fully admit, we are not pros, we are fans with a love of the medium and have done something about it, made contacts and are starting to carve out a niche...so there it is...again thanks to those who get it.

You have to understand people's skepticism because there have been so many insane contradictions out there coming from people purporting to have "sources."
