No kidding.  But what do you expect?  The only way the game means anything is if we lose (which atm we're on the way to doing)

Manny can deny it all he wants but his team has given up on him.

haha awesome, 1 page. We left in the 8th when the saul gave up a hit to let in the runs. Seems like the most emotion Mannys shown all year at that BS play at first.

Aw well, sucks to see the season end on such a bad note (unless we get 1st pick) :p nah, top 3 will be good

Shortest GD thread of the year, and 3 shorter (after this post) than any from the past two seasons. Nice.

Manny can deny it all he wants but his team has given up on him.

Sitting there in the stands, it was clear the team had mentally checked out. Dukes is hobbled with a bad knee that is clearly affecting him, and yet they are sending him out there. His frustration at the plate is showing as he was lost in space on that one catch in the OF without a clue that it was only the second out. Then he clearly couldn't care less on his last at bat. In an odd way, Odalis Perez seems to be the one who cares more than anyone. We have no one who shows as much passion.

We sat in Sec. 128; great seats! Interestingly, Charles Krauthammer was at the top of our section. When we went up to refill our drinks George Will was just leaving from talking to Charles. Juan Williams was standing in the next line at Nats Dogs. I thought to myself that it was a shame that Sens, Kim and NoSpin weren't here to witness this conservative constellation. :D

Salty, I'm not sure even your excellent post is enough to salvage this from being the most pathetic thread of the year.

Maybe the federal government can do a bailout of the Nats. A couple hundred million would solve our problems, too.

Damn, I knew someone said earlier that Perez was striking people out today but I had no idea he struck out 11 in 6 innings until just now.
