I'm wondering if Mock is trade bait. Olsen is an established pitcher.
He just shut down the damn redsox.  :?

Fixed ;)

I see this as Mock on a clock.  He gets one, maybe two starts.  IF he messes up, and if Olsen looks good, or Bally, or whoever, Mock gets sent down.

one other thing to think about:  the 5th starter is only going to pitch twice over the next two weeks.  Mock might do some mop up duty in a blow out and then gets sent down when we actually need the 5th starter.  It'd be smart use of the options and roster structure.

Mock has one option left, J.D. Martin has three left and Olsen needs to build arm strength so he's out for rehab.

I would like to see the Nats use the last rotation slot and the long man spot on kind of a rotational basis.  Take advantage of the fact that several guys are fairly comparable - Mock, Balester, and Martin.  All have options.  I've done this rant before, so I will not repeat it at length, but I'd like to see Rizzo use those guys, Bernardina, and Maxwell flexibly as needed.

They keep Livan around to act as Taveras' interpreter.

I'm actually furious Mock made the team.  He had a terrible spring and he doesn't have the mentality/make-up to be a MLB pitcher.  In most of his outings he gets shelled or he nibbles and he has a bad attitude while doing it.

What a freakin joke.

So much for the positive, upbeat hammondsnats before the season starts.  I look forward to you and ASSCLOWN parading outside the gates with "REPENT SINNERS - THE END IS NEAR" signs.

How am I being a dick about it? It's exactly the thing ASSCLOWN would say. Is it not?

Dude, Mock didn't show anything last year (exceeded 6 innings, just once) and hasn't shown anything this spring to prove he's going to be a good starter for us.  How is that AssClownish?  The only people I ever go off on are the Lerners, it's not very often you'll find me blasting a player (other than Alberto Gonzalez and Wil Nieves when they go through their weekly slumps).

Oh trust me. I'd rather have Olsen over Mock... I just don't see much point in nagging about who's the fifth starter when they'll most likely only make 5 or 6 starts before either Detwiler, Wang or Stras take over.

How dare he not be positive about something!  This team has been so great.  If anyone doubts them, they are automatically "ASSCLOWNing."

Wait, someone thinks that's being a drama queen?  Taveras being sent out to play RF is the worst thing about this team right now.

that's 5 or 6 losses when mock takes the mound as opposed to olsen who may only have 3 or 4 8)

I'm hardly positive about everything. I nag quite a bit... I just don't see the point with Mock... especially when there's...

.... this to nag about!

I don't know how that's relevant.  I own the Taveras drama queen comment.  Others are discussing Mock - a topic which I have not participated in.

We'll see if you're saying that in a couple weeks.

We now have a dedicated thread to complain about Taveras, Harris, and anything else Right field related.
