they gave him 8 games / 10 IP at Wilmington. He's up to 5 games / 6 IP at H-burg.  Wild guess: one more week, 3 more innings over a couple of appearances, then a bump to AAA before the trade deadline.

Maybe the try to manage his innings for the rest of the year. He's at 20 over 2 months, so another 20 or 25 over the rest of the year, and perhaps a September call up?

Nationals Player Development:
Quote
Zach Brzykcy (our @MLBPipeline No. 18 prospect) hasn't allowed a hit in his last 4 G (5.0 IP, 0-for-15) after 2.0 more hitless IP yesterday.

He also hasn't allowed a run since June 9 (11 G, 14.2 IP, 19 K, .066 opp AVG).

Does he really need to go to Triple A?  I mean, maybe, but I feel like it should be a short stay.

I guess call him up to Triple A when you promote Ribalata to the majors, who will be replacing Floro/Finnegan

one reliever will need to be sent down or traded by Saturday, which is when the Nats next need a 5th starter. Figure they could DFA Floro then if he hasn't been traded because they would have a window to traded him running past the 7/30 deadline. I think that's more likely than Salazar or Ferrer getting sent down. The next promotion would be when one of JBarnes, Law, or Finnegan are dealt. I don't think it's a lock that there's a market for JBarnes, and both Law and Finnegan have a year of control, so they may not get dealt. I could see JBarnes getting released if he can't be dealt and there's a desire to give a minor league pitcher a shot at the pen.

I would like to see him in September, he has a chance to be our 8th inning guy next year.
