That's a harsh assessment of Chico's performance. I bet most Nats fans, if offered those stats vs. a random roll of the dice based on Chico's abilities, would have been thrilled to take that performance today. He's had a long row to hoe, and that's a very solid return outing. After all, this guy ain't Liriano.
If any of the contact against Batista is strong, Chico's line would have been 5 IP, 6H, 3 ER, 3K. Not horrible, but not good, thus mediocre. I'm glad he put us in a position so others could win the game. That's all we wanted, he did it, but Willingham's hitting, Batista's damage control, and Capps's picking up the Dunn Drop were bigger in terms of changing the outcome in our favor.
