I'd pinch hit for Bergmann.

And now Vidro's batting?  Bah.  Instant out, I say.

I would have preferred to keep Bergmann in the game to take a couple more innings rather than eat through the bullpen, which we'll likely need again tomorrow.

Hopefully someone told him to take pitches.

And did I mention the lack of confidence I have in Vidro in clutch situations?

Every game from now on is the 7th game of a 7 game series.  We can't afford to lose any of them.

Is Vidro a "has-been" or what.  It's time to retire Jose.

Well the unspoken corollary is that I have a degree of confidence in Bergmann.  He hasn't had a bad outing for us yet, has he?

That was a huge point in this game.  That we might not have been in if our starting lineup was better.

Wilkerson Strikeouts, Vinny's one pitch fly outs, Vidro's ineptitude, Guzman's Mendoza line...it's no wonder.  I mean really!  Is it really a mystery why we can't score runs?

And yet, Wilkerson's home run is what gave the Nats their runs so far tonight.

Ironic, ain't it?

Nice low-pitch 1-2-3 inning by Hughes.  Leave him in for another inning.

Er...and score some runs, maybe.
