Early in the winter, Moore underwent an x-ray on his right leg to try to pinpoint the problem. The x-ray revealed a bone tumor in his femur. During surgery, a golf ball-sized tumor was removed from his right thigh. The tumor was found to be benign. Moore went through seven weeks of rehabbing, but was not able to lift weights. He arrived at spring training healthy and ready to go, thankful to be playing baseball again.
