When you set the bar as low as the Lerners have for the past couple of seasons then flirting with 70 wins is seen as "progress" by some. I'm not among that number.

Mercifully, the season comes to an end tomorrow. That's about he only positive.   :icon_frown:

When I was in management, we'd often say that people will work down to your expectations.   The same is true with your kids.   Spring training (if we get what we need in the off season), Mr. Lerner ought to go to Viera and say, "Look, anything less than 85 or 90 wins is a failure.  We're not gonna have anymore of this 70 wins is an improvement BS.    I have high expectations for myself, my children, my business and the Nats.    I expect nothing less from you as individuals."
