Ugh, Livan may end up with an ERA over 4. He really has sucked noodles lately.

His ERA will end up just about lining up with his FIP... whodathunk.

Let's hope for some actual, y'know, offense today.

I crunched some numbers earlier in the season to show a) what a ridiculous first half he had, and b) how bad he would have to get to end up with an ERA of 3.5, 4, or 5.

I'd really like a second win tonight, guys.  Lets play some decent baseball.

Also, I think this is my 5th start with Livan.  I seriously don't have a stiffy for the guy.  Honest.  It's just a coincidence.  I swear!

Bernandina hitting 3 is as laughable as any lineup ever posted.

I'm pretty sure that was the lineup that had us scoring massive amounts of runs for a while.

Those lineups also featured Wil Nieves and Willie Harris. Should he be in the lineup?

Doesn't matter where the hitters hit as long as they are good hitters; since we barely have any, it still doesn't matter when they hit.

I  think the board has checked out for the season just as the team has.

Debating whether to turn the game on or keep listening to Danzig.

I may be in the minority but I didn't really want the Nats to resign Livan.

It's too late because they already did. The sad thing is that there is a legitimate chance that Livan will be the opening day starter or that John Lannan will have his 3rd straight opening day start. So much for all the cavalry talk.

I don't see the Nats (Riggleman) giving a guy with a career 4.74 ERA 89 ERA+ who is also 24 the opening day start ahead of 2 veterans. If it was Strasburg, he would have been the starter, but Zimmermann is no Strasburg.

Fortunately he is also no Livan or Lannan.  Unless he does horribly in spring training he should get the job... I think the Nats organization recognizes that neither of those two are potential aces by now.

He does more than just throw every 5th day. I like what he does in the clubhouse. He does teach the young guys a bundle. He's well worth the $$$ they are paying him next year.
