doesn't make sense to me why he hung either of those two pitches for hits.. Wilson would have chased if he had thrown the ball in the dirt

maybe he just wanted to prove that he can get pujols out. or maybe he was thinking that if we tie the score in the 9th we wouldnt have to face pujols in the 10th

Most likely because that is what Chad was trying to do but just made a mistake and the ball ended up up in the zone.
