Side note...at the Nats team store on-line, they used to have a grey Majestic t-shirt with the road script on it. They don't have it anymore and the tshirt options they do have aren't really my style. Anyone know if there's anywhere I can find it still?

We should have won the first two games but the game today is a game we should lose soundly.

De La Rosa throws hard and has above average stuff but he walks a lot of batters and gives up plenty of runs.

Too bad we have by far the worst record in baseball against LH starters (6-16).

Ross Detwiler is going to be destroyed today;. This is the perfect storm that will force Detwiler to go 2 innings 8 earned runs.

I think they will send him down if he struggles mightily again today.

Ross has made 15 starts in AAA & MLB this year and is 0-7. has to suck for him.

Said the same thing before Mondays game. Let's just wait and see what happens. They've battled in each and every game regardless of situation the past 6 weeks or so. No reason to believe they won't today as well.

I can't give him a chance to win because don't forget, we are the Nats and we rarely win. Though, today is getaway day and the Nats play like a playoff contender on those days.

Monday and Tuesday's games were actually winnable. Today is a complete mismatch.

if last night isn't rolling over for the opponent I don't know what it is. The Rockies are struggling big time offensively and we just handed them two free wins on a platter.

The Nats should be going for the sweep today.

God last night was an atrocity to the game of baseball... Let's at least try to play better today and salvage something...
Also, this is Ross' last chance to stay in the bigs... IMO.

I'm talking more about the pitchers than about anything else and yes, I do. The pitchers haven't backed down from any one. I dont' expect them to today. De La Rosa hasn't exactly lit the world on fire today either. We've done pretty well on get-away day and it's baseball. I'm not writing off any game before it starts.

A good thing about having some pitching depth at AAA is that our ML pitchers have to pitch like their jobs are on the line almost every week. Detwiler still needs more time in the minors, but I do like the flashes he has shown so far this season. He parlayed a spot start into a extended stay with the team after some people, mainly myself, were declaring the possibility he may be nothing more than a reliever. I don't know what Rizzo will do, but if Ross struggles tonight, I agree with sending him down in place of Martin or Bally.
