Wow, he had the equivalent of Dunn's contract leftover because he is making 10 million this year and 10 more next for season. The Lerners are too cheap to ever even think about that.

Toronto had 2 other pitchers at closer this year with outstanding stats. Ryan has been on the DL the last 2 years, since they got him for big bucks. I thought Downs just went on the DL.

Yeah, I think Downs should be back soon. Apparently the Jays really like Downs as the closer, but I have read rumors about other teams looking to trade for him as a set-up man. Ryan hasn't looked good in two years, so I guess it isn't that surprising.
