AA is flying the A321neos to PHX and LAX and the 757's have been coming and going out of DCA for years. I fly in and out of Burbank a good amount on 737s, and the main E-W runway is 1300 ft shorter than DCA's 1/19 and is most commonly used for landing. The longer 15/33 runway at Burbank, which is the same length as DCA's main runway, requires a sharp turn to the right after takeoff to avoid the Hollywood Hills, but keeps things exciting.
I've done Burbank but only on Embraers.
The 757 is a different beast than any of the rest of that, though. It was designed for field performance.
