'67 hooked me on baseball, so the '67 world series stands out in my mind.  He and Gibson killed the Red Sox.  That Cards team also had Curt Flood and the tail end of Maris (McCarver at the start of his career, too).  Red Sox team had RoTY runner up Reggie Smith (Carew was RoTY), Cy Young Jim Lonborg, Triple Crown Yaz, and was Dick Williams first pennant winner.

I saw this pic and thought it was a good one. Brock, Julian Javier and Bob Gibson celebrating that championship. Good article from St Louis Post dispatch too.

I never saw him play, but Brock was my Dad’s favorite player because they both grew up in Louisiana and went to the same college (years apart).
