That's awful. First in-season player death since Fernandez, thankfully, but that's still too short a time. Twenty-seven is no age.

It doesn't take this long to determine death by natural causes. This delay means toxicology tests which are probably going to be embarrassing unlike say choking on a hot dog or having an aneurysm which are easily identifiable .....

Today is Skaggs' birthday. The last combined no hitter in CA was 7/13/91, 28 years ago, the day he was born.

Opioids are no joke. He probably took them to ease the pain of the grind, ala Roy Halladay.

It's probably time that MLB relaxes the substance abuse policy with regards to the herb.

It’s alarming how prevalent this crap has gotten. I can’t believe doctors can write scrips to this extent willy nilly.
