Angels also had Nick Adenhart recently, plus Lyman Bostock way back, not to mention Donnie Moore shortly after he retired.

Corbin to wear Skaggs' #45 tonight.  They were very close and came up through the AZ system together.

This really sucks.  Another member of the "27 club", which is way too young.

If it's natural causes or no, it's truly bizarre for such a lengthy delay

It doesn't take this long to determine death by natural causes. This delay means toxicology tests which are probably going to be embarrassing unlike say choking on a hot dog or having an aneurysm which are easily identifiable .....

One paper in California reported on allegations of opioid abuse before pulling the story

Angels have a combined no-hitter thru 8 innings in the first home game since Skaggs death. The Angles are all wearing Skaggs’ #45.

The Angels no hit the Mariners. What a great story.

Maybe more impressive was his mom throwing a strike on the first pitch from the rubber.

Today is Skaggs' birthday.  The last combined no hitter in CA was 7/13/91, 28 years ago, the day he was born.

CBS notes more coincidences:

Quote

• Trout hits HR exactly 454 ft
(Skaggs wore No. 45)

• Franchise’s 11th no-hitter
(Skaggs wore No. 11 in HS)

• Score 7 runs in 1st, 13 runs total
(Skaggs birthday is 7/13)

Opioids are no joke. He probably took them to ease the pain of the grind, ala Roy Halladay.

It's probably time that MLB relaxes the substance abuse policy with regards to the herb.

As you know, this goes a lot deeper than Tyler Skaggs and Roy Halladay.    Kind of OT but it's all across America and across all kinds of economic status and career:

It’s alarming how prevalent this crap has gotten. I can’t believe doctors can write scrips to this extent willy nilly.
