Don't have DVR. I use FiOS "On Demand". Hell BiL, I just figured out self serve gas last week. 
With
Verizon FIOS, if you hit the
Last button on the remote, does it:
1. Bring up the last channel, or
2. Display the last 9 channels viewed. Both Xfinity's new cable box and Cox Cable's Countour Box provide this feature, which is so much better.
The blue light remains on 24 hours per day, for both Xfinity/Comcast and Cox cable.
