Lannan had trouble getting hitters out on Saturday. Lannan, who lasted 5 2/3 innings
and gave up five runs on eight hits, had a 2-1 lead after two innings, but the Mets
would come back and take the lead. In the top of the third inning, Jose Reyes came
home when Luis Castillo reached base on a throwing error by shortstop Felipe Lopez.
Two innings later, David Wright drive in two more runs with a bloop double to make it
a 4-2 game before Mike DiFelice took an 0-2 pitch and doubled to left field to score
Shawn Green in the sixth inning.

This was supposed to be Roy Oswalt's start, but a left oblique strain will likely keep the
Astros ace in the dugout this time through the rotation. Gutierrez, called up from Triple-A
Round Rock on Friday, was 5-9 with a 3.96 ERA with 101 strikeouts in 24 games (145 1/3
innings) for the Express. The hard-throwing right-hander made his Major League debut on
Sunday, striking out one in one scoreless inning.
