I would say that it is unfortunate that Storm didn't stay in NXT and reform Beer Money there, but he's getting $500,000 over two years from TNA, so I can't feel too bad for him.

WWE's moronic refusal to have an offseason will be the death of them. It already led to the losses of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.

There really is no reason for them to have shows in November and December. The holidays and football always tank ratings. It'd be a great time for an offseason. Just move Survivor Series to earlier in the year, kill TLC, and have Night of Champions be the season finale of the year. A brand split and halving the number of house shows would lessen the workload significantly as well.

Why would it? I'm assuming that it'd result in everyone only wrestling for a TV show once a week instead of twice, thereby reducing usage.

Yeah, it seems like SummerSlam and then Survivor Series in September as your offseason send-off would make a lot of sense. Return with a few pre-Rumble shows and hype up the road to Wrestlemania. Use that last part of the offseason (in December) to hype up anticipation with contract signings/managerial changes and the like.

Makes too much sense for McMahons.

Well, the modern product sucks. I'd recommend finding some way to watch NXT. The format of the show is basically that of an old territories show.

For those of you with access to AXS, set your DVR for 7 PM on Friday for KUSHIDA vs Kyle O'Reilly (from ROH) from the finals of the 2015 "Best of the Super Juniors" tournament in NJPW. The entire show is that one match. It was a brutal combination of MMA and Pro Wrestling, think Daniel Bryan vs Bryan Danielson. The story-telling throughout the match was superb as well as each focused on hurting the other guy's left arm to set each other up for the double wrist-lock finisher. It wasn't your typical high flying spot-fest, but rather more of an on-the mat, grind-it out affair. Meltzer gave it 4 3/4 stars.

In addition to NXT, both ROH and NJPW are much more like the old Mid-Atlantic/Crockett style of athletic, hard-hitting wrestling from the 80's

Holy freakness. Zayn/Nakamura was goddamned amazing. The entire show was pretty damn great aside from the main event kinda falling flat, but holy freakness. You don't see crap like Zayn/Nakamura every day. That was an instant classic. Also Bobby Roode and Kota Ibushi were shown in the crowd. Oh, and Nakamura's theme is awesome:
