I like that Styles addressed Cena burying everyone he faces. I hope that means AJ will avoid a similar fate.

Me too.  I love how they're incorporating little hints as to the inside lingo every now and again.

Did you also catch Cena calling them "The Bullet Club"?  I was hoping it would stick . . .

I was surprised that Cena mentioned the "Bullet" club.  With that, the BC now has major programs in ROH, NJPW, and WWE.

Cena's rebuttal emasculated Styles IMHO.  He was right.  Styles came in and lost every major match, WM to Jericho, and two PPV main events to Reigns.   He reinforced what everyone in the audience knows, that Styles will next lose to Cena as the WWE can't have their top star losing to an outsider.  It will be a great match, and maybe Styles wins the first one with BC support, but ultimately he'll come out of the program as the loser and end up as the next Kevin Owens.

The Reigns and Rollins videos were very good.

NJPW owns the copyright to Bullet Club.  With BC being a major part of ROH right now I can't see WWE trying to work out a licensing deal.

I can't tell if Cena said Bullet Club or Pull-it Club.

The End was fantastic, as expected.

i only caught the main event, it really looked like Balor was hurt after the muscle buster from the middle rope.  I assume he's heading for the main roster now. Nakamura will be on the main roster for the upcoming tour of Japan.

You would think Balor would move on.

HHH said in a interview after the show they're moving on to Nakamura vs. Joe for Takeover: Brooklyn. Should be a lot of fun.

Jerry Lawler says that WWE is gonna have two PPVs per month after the brand split except for the big four shows.

Crikeys. Although good opportunities to identify future faces of the company out of a really crowded roster right now.

This is a horrible idea.  Watering down the PPV market.  They need story arcs that last longer than three weeks.

I disagree. In fact, I think it gives them the ability to carry on storylines LONGER than before. As it is, there are too many good wrestlers going and that puts pressure on management to squeeze them all in...hence you cycle through storylines quicker to get other guys into new storylines.

Spreading it out allows you to keep guys on more cards, which allows you to lengthen storylines. Doesn't mean they'll be smart enough to do it, but that would be my hope.

the PPV market is dead, it's all about driving subscribers to their network, and these kinds of shows will do exactly that (IMHO)

In fact, not only will more PPVs possibly bring in more subscribers, it is a great excuse to raise the price of the Network a few dollars and make it look justified given the increase in content.

But they have story lines already mowing over three-five consecutive PPV's (although the notion of making them subscription only likely changes the name from PPV's to "Main Events" or something...)  Now we're going to be subjected to even more "this time it's for real" story lines.

Puke.

Can't follow?  I said stories that last longer - not spanning multiple PPV's.  It makes PPV's less important.  And . . .  Nevermind.  You obviously won't get it.

Yeah, honestly I have no idea what you're talking about. You think storylines are 3 weeks long to culminate at PPVs? I mean, we've had 1 PPV per month (at least) for how long now?

How exactly do you plan to have long-lived storylines without having people have rematches at consecutive PPVs?

Not have so many freaking PPV's.  But the dollar drives the decision.

It's my same belief that baseball and hockey would do well with reducing the number of games in a season by 1/3.  It just won't ever happen.

This is amazing. Roughly two minutes of TNA aired tonight before the network glitched everything up and the show stopped broadcasting. They have been playing ads on a loop over and over again for nearly all of Impact's run time. This is the most LOLTNA moment ever.

I can't believe they still have a show.

i heard they almost closed up shop last weekend until getting a last minute infusion of cash from Billy Corrigan of smashing pumpkins fame.  I pretty much stopped watching the show after they got rid of AJ Styles a couple of years ago.

Moose is expected to be in WWE starting in September along with Euro standouts Big Damo, Noam Dar, and Tommy End. Also worth noting that TNA is trying to get Galloway signed to an exclusive deal, but given the volume of work he gets in the indies and his presence in the ongoing invasion angle with EC3 in Evolve, I personally don't see that happening. Given that Vince once pushed Galloway quite hard, his improvement since his departure from WWE, and the impending need for talent on both the main roster and NXT, I would not be at all surprised to see him return to WWE. EC3 has also been making some inferences on Twitter and is working Evolve now so I wouldn't be surprised to see him in WWE eventually either.

AJ and Cena lived up to the hype. Great crowd and an ending that continues the program.  Only knock I had on it was that the in-ring mic caught a lot of Cena's calls.

pretty good finish though not unexpected.  Looks like we'll get a shield 3-way program going forward.
